MARKETPLACE | UI & DESIGN SYSTEM | 2022
How might we design a wholesale marketplace to help the effortless discovery and onboarding of direct ship-to-consumer products?
BACKGROUND
Working in close collaboration with the Vice President of Design & UX and UX Lead, I led the creative directions and concept development, built the design system, and developed the UI of our new platform.
KEY OBJECTIVES
1. To create a Visual Design Language that evokes a premium feel and resonates with shop owners and professional buyers.
2. To create a scalable and flexible Design System following the WCAG accessibility guidelines.
3. To design all edge cases and interactive states providing clear documentation to developers.
DESIGN SYSTEM
Following Atomic Design principles, I built a Design System from the ground up, fine-tuning the right font, colour and icon combinations as well as implementing a consistent auto-layout logic across all components, with variant options for each.
